I have days where I hit it out of the park. Living my best advice and basking in self care and self awareness. Doing yoga and meditating. Eating greens and journaling. Looking like this image.
And some (many…) days I don’t get out of my exercise clothes. That don’t get used for exercise. I eat high calorie, low nutrient food mindlessly. I cry. I yell at my kids. The journal gathers dust. I obsess about a messy house. My old demons visit. I see a therapist.
Turns out I’m a human. A perfectionist in recovery. With frequent relapses.
I’m also a solution focused coach and counsellor with a specialization in narratives. What does that mean? It means learning to reframe and recreate the stories we tell ourselves. What we tell ourselves matters. It becomes what we believe. And what you believe, becomes your outcome.
After one hour with me you won’t be fixed. Because you are not broken. You will have some new ideas, awareness and likely some action steps. All yours courtesy of a skill set developed over the last 20 years, enhanced by education and a truck load of real life. I am not going to give you advice or ideas, you’ve got that to spare.
