In my work I have an amazing opportunity to meet so many people. And everyone has a story. I’m endlessly honoured to have the opportunity to hear these stories. And how they define us, trap us, and liberate us. Our narratives create our perspectives and design our lives. Literally the stories we tell ourselves dictate how we experience the world.
Getting some insight on your story and making the unconscious conscious might not be total liberation – but it’s a hell of a start don’t you think?
This summer I shared some of my own story on @invisiblescarspodcast. My years in therapy and as a practitioner have helped me redefine my own story and own the narrative. Not easy. Healing is a full contact sport as we address wounds, unfinished business, pain and suffering. But the value is immeasurable.
