Virtual therapy

I see people in their offices.
In parked cars.
Sitting on their deck.
With toddlers on their lap.
Couples in their living rooms.
Hiding in bathrooms for privacy.
In locked bedrooms sitting in their bed.
In various time zones and provinces.

Sometimes, more often than you’d think, I only hear voices on the other line of the phone. I may never actually “see” some clients.

The pandemic accelerated all things virtual. And my practice is now almost 100% on line. There is no parking or leaving work early. There’s no issues with finding a babysitter or rushing back. I offer weekend sessions from September to May (and upon request) making counselling work for your schedule.

Virtual is not for everyone however and in summer 2022 I’ll be offering more in person sessions in a newly renovated space. I’m planning to offer #emdr and other modalities for those who wish to explore beyond traditional talk #psychotherapy.

Counselling has never been as accessible. Phone, zoom, video session and in person means you can reach a therapist almost anytime that works for you. Making the outreach is the hardest step. After that it gets easier. You’d be surprised how easy it is to talk to someone.
